Awesome. The word on the street is that this is a remake of (or at the very least, based on) a Spanish horror flick by the name of [Rec].
I saw that movie for the first time recently, and it really was outstanding. It was also pretty creepy - Not, however, because of the “zombies” and omg cucuy! stuff. The creepier part about it was the actions and reactions of the terrorized, and those putting them in quarantine. Honestly, when compared with mankind and the things we’re willing to do to one another in order to save our own skin, creepy-crawlies and boogeymen got NOTHING on us.
Another film that drives that point home is last year’s Right Outside Your Door. It didn’t get a whole lot of adverts and wasn’t really talked about much, but I think that movie scared the bejeesus out of me far more than your conventional sort of horror flick.
Also, it looks like this might be turned into an ARG or something like it. I really hope so!
