Sometimes, living in the hardboiled suburbs of Orange County, I like to hang out with the neighborhood boys and rap and dance around in my peg-rolled jeans. It’s all fun and games until the girls come by and ruin it.
See, I can’t not reblog this. Teen Witch was one of my favorites when I was a kid because (and here’s the important part), even then I knew how good it was BECAUSE of how bad it was. To this day, if this is on, I will sit there and watch it and laugh my face off.
“Top That” really is just the cherry on top of the kitsch cake here, and if you have never seen this, have a stiff drink and watch it now. All you need to know is this:
- Robin Lively is magic (or, a Teen Witch, if you will)
- Her friend with the nose really digs the greasy looking fellow who wishes he was a Beastie Boy
- White suburban teen rap in 1989 was HORRIBLE.
- Your mom can probably dance better than this.
