I’ve had my ear on Al Jazeera all day, so a huge portion of my posts today have been Egypt-related. Apologies to those who aren’t interested in what’s going on over there. Just an FYI - There’s a greasemonkey script that will hide posts about a given subject on your dashboard. I imagine it works for other things too. You could probably filter all posts about “Justin...

Biden: Mubarak Should Not Step Down
Vice President Biden, issuing the Obama administration’s most definitive statement to date on the turmoil in Egypt, said President Mubarak should not step down and downplayed the protests spreading across the Mideast as generally unconnected.
He described the unrest as an expression of “middle-class folks” looking for “a little more access and a little more opportunity.”

Update: It wasn't allergies.
It was, apparently, the Plague. It still is. I took Nyquil on Tuesday night, for the first time in eons. I was unconscious for the better part of the last 36 hours.
I’m still groggy. Still sick. Bleh. If I lack in the Tumbling department today, please know that it’s probably because I’m slumped over in my cubicle, drooling on myself.

Today:
I have mostly been trying to convince myself that I’m not (NOT! NOT! NOT!) sick. I woke up with a sore throat. My face has been leaking throughout the day. I occasionally have these small coughing fits that result in some minor chest-hurt. Some random sneezes here and there. I’m groggy.
I keep trying to convince myself that these are just allergy symptoms. I can get away with telling...

Written by Gail Brenner, Ph.D.
1. Break tasks down into small chunks and feel a sense of accomplishment when you complete one piece before moving on to the next.
2. Write your feelings down on paper.
3. Listen to your favorite music.
4. Take a moment at the end of the day to remember at least one thing you accomplished, even if it is something basic like getting out of bed, and...
